The name Clanfield means “Field of Clean Weeds”. The very active community has two
centres a mile apart - Old Clanfield with its pub, St James Church and thatched
well, and the newer side with newer housing and additional shops.

Clanfield is an expanding village and civil parish in the county of Hampshire. It
is situated on the edge of the beautiful Meon Valley close to the South Downs National
Park, within easy reach of London and centrally located between the cities of Portsmouth,Southampton,
Winchester, Chichester and Guildford.
